Aims and intentions
A 30 credit module intended to meet the academic and professional needs of postgraduates. Students will study educational and pedagogical issues arising from research into behaviour and motivation.
Approaches to Teaching and Learning
Participants will experience three days’ contact with academic staff. The module uses a combination of lectures, tutorial and seminar support.
To gain a PGCertPE, applicants can take an additional Education Research in Action module (30 credits) that permits participants to test an idea or experience gained from this unit in their work situation by undertaking a small scale research activity.
Assessment
A 30 credit module assessed by written assignment.
