This module:  30 credits

 

Aims and intentions

This is a 30 credit module intended to meet the academic and professional needs of postgraduates. Students will deepen their understanding of theories and issues relating to leading CPD and consider how these influence their practice.

 

Approaches to Teaching and Learning

Participants will experience three days’ contact with academic staff. The module uses a combination of lectures, tutorial and seminar support.

To gain a PGCertPE, applicants can take an additional Education Research in Action module (30 credits) that permits participants to test an idea or experience gained from this unit in their work situation by undertaking a small scale research activity.

 

Assessment

This module is assessed by written assignment.
